Roundup Of Etsy Springtime Home Accents
See what I'm pining after this season from everyone's favorite handmade artisan marketplace.
John and I are hustling to get lots of housework tasks done behind the scenes right now, so I’m going to keep today’s newsletter on the “short and sweet” side, if that’s okay. He’s taking several days off from work this week to get our patio hardscape done and dusted, I’m hustling to finish my computer work early so I can enjoy my birthday tomorrow (my last 30-something hoorah!), and I’ve got a sofa coming within hours of the moment I’m typing up this sentence. There’s so much to do, but it’s all really exciting, positive things, so I’m feeling grateful—albeit a little extra tired and sore.
With so many exciting house projects on the horizon, I’m taking a moment this morning to dream about the finished results of all our hard work. I can’t wait to get to the good part (i.e. decorating), and have been scouring the web for springtime home accent inspiration. Keep scrolling for a list of all my current favorites on Etsy, including handmade wall hangings, beautiful artisan-made ceramics, printable floral art, and the loveliest kinetic mobile I’ve ever seen.
My Favorite Etsy Springtime Home Accents:
Textured Pillow Covers, Set Of 4: The soft earthy color palette of this collection of throw pillow covers is right up my alley. I may just treat myself to this bundle in honor of the fact that I survived winter.
Live Rare Succulent Plant: I really love buying plants on Etsy, especially when I’m sending long-distance gifts to people. They often cost less than a bouquet of flowers and, theoretically, last forever. You can’t say that about a flower bouquet.
Macrame Nature Vine Wall Hanging: I know macrame sort of already had its “moment” five years ago, but I think these wall hangings are so classic and timeless. The vine design is the perfect subtle nod to the season.
Brass Kinetic Mobile: Do yourself a favor and click through to the listing to watch the product video, which shows this piece of art in motion. I love the idea of having the window open on a nice spring day and watching this beauty spin lazily in the breeze…
Handmade Ceramic Pottery Jar With Lid: I wish I had seen this jar before putting together my birthday wishlist several weeks ago because I think it’s perfect. The mid-century style knob, the speckled white finish, those cool linear carved details…Maybe I’ll put it on my Christmas list.
Speckled Saucer Planter: Well, of course, I’m going to need a new ceramic pot to go with my new Succulent Plant, right?! This one is a great price during the sale that’s going on now, and I love the sleek modern silhouette.
Modern Glass Plant Propagation Station: Here’s another type of thing that I love to give as gifts! You can read up on my guide to propagating plants here (and learn how to DIY your own stand if you’d rather go the homemade route). I can’t help but think that propagating your houseplants is the perfect thing to do while stuck inside during rainy spring days to come.
Faded Blush Pink 100% Linen Quilt: When it comes to bedding this time of year, I love swapping out heavier blankets and comforters for thinner breathable quilts, linen being one of my favorite textures to cuddle up with. The blush pink color on this set is really lovely.
Digital Neutral Abstract Floral Painting: This digital art listing is technically meant for use on a Samsung Frame TV, but I think it would be great printed and used anywhere in your home—especially at the sale price of just $2.50. I also love repurposing these types of digital downloads as my computer desktop photo.
Let me know what your favorite item is in this roundup, and if you’ve got your own favorite springtime find to share. What kinds of accents do you love to decorate with this time of year? Or do you generally keep your décor the same all year long? Keep an eye on my Instagram to see our own springy home project reveals coming soon!
Things worth mentioning this week…
New On The Blog: Traveling to Colonial Williamsburg this spring? Then make sure you check out my list of where to eat in the area. The full blog post story is this way, including my picks for travel-friendly breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
What I’m Watching: I’ve been catching up on episodes of Ina Garten’s Be My Guest. I love learning more about the celebrity actors, writers, chefs, and musicians that she has on the show, and, of course, the food that they make between the chatty sit-down segments looks divine.
What I’m Reading: I just started a new book on my Kindle called Friends With Secrets by Christine Gunderson. So far it’s super gripping and the perfect break from the Throne of Glass series that I’ve been bingeing this year.
Noteworthy Substack: I’m excited to try some of the tips that Camille shared in her latest post, 4 Changes That Healed My Gut Health. If you’ve got your own gut health advice to offer, please share it in the comments (or send me a private message). I’m desperate to try anything thanks to all of the issues I’ve been experiencing since last November when I was diagnosed with UC.
Favorite Recent Purchase: I just ordered this 2-pack of chaise lounge chairs for our hardscape patio, and couldn’t believe the price (under $110 for both after using a coupon).
Looking Forward To: Taking some time off with family this weekend for my birthday. I’m one of those silly adults who still gets giddy about her special day. I think I probably will no matter how old I get! Got any advice for me as I head toward my 40th birthday next year?
