Home Brands That I Actually Buy From
Home-themed websites we truly trust that offer pieces we'd buy all over again if we had to.
Being able to invest in new décor and accessories for our home is such a privilege, and the act is something that I do my best not to take for granted. I’m also so lucky to work in the influencer industry and have the trust of several high quality brands who hire me to photograph and review pieces from their collection at no cost to me. This is, again, something that I try really hard to appreciate because I know that won’t be my circumstance forever.
I really cherish the opportunity to test out different home décor pieces so that I can pass along my “real life” review to you so you can invest with confidence, and today I thought I’d take that one step further with a list of all the home brands that I’ve come to know and love above all others. Keep scrolling for a descriptive breakdown of the eight brands that I would (and have) spent my own money on since becoming an adult homemaker almost two decades ago.
Home Brands That I Actually Buy From:
UniCurt: We’ve added custom curtains from this brand to two rooms in our home (our back bedroom lounge and our sunroom), and I’m not sure that I’ll ever buy off-the-shelf budget drapes ever again. There’s just something so special and sophisticated about custom, tailored curtains, and the ones from this brand are amazing. It’s one of those things that you, theoretically, only have to invest in once, so it’s worth taking the time to save up and get good curtains that could last through the entire life of your home.
Our Place: This is the only cookware we have in our kitchen now, and most of our countertop appliances are from the brand, too. Their pans, blenders, pots, and electric cookers are just so well made, and we really appreciate the non-toxic materials they use to manufacture their products. Our favorite in the collection is their Titanium line.
Article: I have never once received a piece of furniture from this brand that I haven’t loved, and I definitely can’t say that about any other furniture manufacturer. Article’s pieces are heavy-duty, well made, and they have such an amazing array of modern designs to choose from. It’s my #1 recommended furniture brand, no question.
Loloi: I’ve received gifted rugs from Loloi, and I’ve purchased rugs from them with my own money. It’s the one rug brand that I trust above all others because I know they will always have the right style for my particular room design, and the quality is going to be top notch. I also appreciate that they have exceptionally high quality luxury rugs at more expensive “heirloom”-type price points, but also affordable designer-inspired options. Having that kind of variety at your fingertips really matters when you’re trying to put together a room makeover and have a specific budget to work within.
Modkat: I’m super proud to be an ambassador for this modern cat goods brand, and love that I still get to see photographs of our baby boy, Joe, whenever I hop over to their website (he passed away last summer, in case you didn’t know). Theirs are genuinely the only litter boxes we use, and I love all of their litter accessories, too. Modkat is the best!
Artfully Walls: I’ve been decorating our home with framed art prints from this brand for more than decade now. They have so many beautiful authentic art pieces to choose from on their website, and I’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve received from them. Many years ago, I ordered an oversized print from another “big name” art brand, and it arrived looking so pixelated. I remember thinking that Artfully Walls would have caught that before it shipped to us, and I never purchased (or even accepted free product) from that other art brand again. Artfully Walls is my go-to online art resource, for sure.
Fancy Walls: Another name that I’m a proud ambassador for is Fancy Walls. Their wallpaper can be seen in nearly every single room of our house. It’s easy to install, they have tons of different patterns to choose from, and it also comes down really easily, which is important for someone like me who loves to change up her décor.
Nolan Interior: Our two cats have been sick with digestive issues for the past seven days, and let’s just say that our Nolan couch covers have literally saved our couches. I swear by their covers to protect our sofas from spills and stains, and love how affordable they are, too. They’re washable and hold up really well to life, so I don’t anticipate having to replace them any time soon, but I would definitely spend my own money to repurchase them if I had to—that’s how much we rely on them.
What are some of your most trusted home décor brands? Or maybe there’s a specific collection within a brand that has just simply never let you down? Comment and let me know your favorites so I can add them to my “must try” list. A little bonus entry for my list is Cozy Earth bedding. Their bamboo sheets and duvet cover set is absolutely unmatched in my opinion. Let me know all about your top picks below!
Things worth mentioning this week…
New On The Blog: Our paver hardscape patio is done and I shared the full step-by-step tutorial on dreamgreendiy.com this month. Read the post and see all of the “after” photos here.
What I’m Watching: Justine’s wedding cake series on YouTube has been so addicting to watch, even though I actually don’t have a sweet tooth (I’m more of a savory girl). Her “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Tiramisu” theme is so clever. My favorite so far was her recipe for Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie Cake.
What I’m Reading: I’m about 3/4 of the way through The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and am, frankly, devastated that it’s almost over. What an incredible story, and so well told, too. Follow me on Instagram if you want to catch my final review when I’m done—that’s where I share all of my book reactions, in case you’re curious.
Noteworthy Substack: I can’t wait to try making Jenn’s viral Cheddar and Chive Breakfast Biscuits. I especially appreciate that they’re freezer-friendly, but who am I kidding? They’ll be long gone before having to freeze any leftovers!
Favorite Recent Purchase: This thermal shipping label printer was a little bit of an investment for the size, but it has already made life so much easier. I bought it specifically because (spoiler alert!) I’m reopening my Etsy pottery shop next month, but it also works well for our personal shipments. No more printing shipping labels from my office printer and having to trim/tape them to a box—they print in seconds now without ink cartridges and are ready to peel and stick right away. Couldn’t recommend this pint-sized printer more if you do a lot of shipping and returns.
Looking Forward To: The official start of summer. I think I may have mentioned that we don’t have a big beach trip planned this year, but I’m sort of looking forward to taking it really easy and enjoying all the cool things to do this season close to home. Staycations are under-rated! What are your summer plans? Let me know in the comments.
